I don’t really know you or even your writing. But I had the full zipper open heart surgery 10 1/2 years ago when I was 54. New Aortic valve. Your surgery is probably a little more serious but not much. My recovery was unexpectedly easy. Mentally in great shape by day 3. Walking around ICU by day 3. Off OxyContin by day 3. Off any narcotic pain meds by day 7-8. Lots of walking, including hills by week 2. No pain by week 7. No discomfort by month 7.
